Welcome to Altona Gate Medical Centre, a modern family GP practice with friendly, experienced staff. We are open 6 days a week and we bulk bill to ensure a high standard of healthcare is accessible for everybody.

We offer a full range of GP services, covering all ages, including:

We have onsite pathology and there are several pharmacy options within the shopping centre, making it quick and easy to fulfill prescriptions if needed.

As a bulk billing practice, we offer bulk billing to all patients holding a valid Medicare card for all Medicare-eligible procedures. This means no out-of-pocket cost for most general consultations. For patients without Medicare, our fees are $65.

Located within the Altona Gate Shopping Centre, there is ample parking available. There are also a number of bus stops around the shopping centre for those using public transport.

We would be well located for anyone in the areas of Altona North, Altona Meadows, Altona, Yarraville, Newport, Spotswood, Port Melbourne, Footscray, and Laverton.

Billing policy

We are a bulk-Billing billing practice, so as long as you have a valid Medicare Card. A photo or physical card must be presented. If you do not have these, photo ID is required to search for a valid card. For information on private fees, including insurance questions, please phone us.
